As one of New Jersey's top research universities, NJIT is home to some of the most ambitious students in the country. ColorStack NJIT exists to make sure that ambition is matched by access; connecting Black and Latinx CS students with the networks, resources, and community that turn potential into careers.

No. ColorStack NJIT is open to any NJIT student who wants to support our mission — our programming and resources are focused on increasing representation for Black and Latinx students in tech, but membership itself isn’t restricted by race or ethnicity.

Joining ColorStack NJIT connects you with our on-campus community, events, and resources. To also join the national ColorStack community — their Slack, job board, and national programming — sign up separately at colorstack.org. We recommend doing both.

No — membership is completely free.

Not at all. Members join at every experience level, from students who have never written a line of code to those already interning at top tech companies.

Any year, any major. Most members study computer science or a related field, but any NJIT student interested in tech is welcome.
